The trip of a lifetime! Past Review
By A student (SUNY - College at Geneseo) - abroad from 06/25/2017 to 07/31/2017 with
SUNY Geneseo: Traveling - Mediterranean Roots Summer Program
What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained so much insight on the different cultures I was able to immerse myself in. I talked to the locals and got to learn about peoples' personal lifestyles which was really awesome. I learned how to manage my time and I also learned how to go with the flow. When abroad you never know what is going to happen so you just have to learn to take things as they are and work around them. I believe this trip was very worthwhile and I am already missing every second of it and all of the people I met and knew already and got to know better.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | I think that the smarted thing to do is exchange your money before you go on your study abroad because this way you know exactly how much you are spending and you can budget yourself accordingly because sometimes ATM mishaps can occur and also a lot of places may not even take credit card. |
