Prague to Amsterdam Past Review

I got a chance to see a different side of life, as well as different aesthetics these Europeans valued, in fashion and in architecture, music and art. We went to a lot of museums, too many, I think, to be able to really absorb what we saw. We learned the wonders of public transportation, as well as some of its pitfalls, but it was a blessing for the most part. Europeans are much more willing to socialize with you, so we learned that it was okay to talk to strangers--some, anyway. I got more of an understanding at the biases in different countries on common history, and learned how that bias changes as the past becomes harder to remember. I learned how to rely more on myself, and how to rely on others, especially when it comes to directions. The food was great, and I've expanded my pallet substantially since I've been there. I also learned that Americans are very loud, and that we should appreciate the quiet more. Silence is nice, sometimes. I had a lot of fun, getting to know people and the places I visited, and I look forward to going back one day.
