Yes it was definitely worthwhile. My spanish improved, and it definitely increased my cultural awareness. I would love to go back.

I think the location of my apartment was fantastic. I felt very safe in that neighborhood. The apartment had everything we needed, so we only had to buy food. It was very close to the university, as well as |

I loved the orientation, as well as the other trips my program offered. For example we went to Granada, Malaga, and Cordoba. |

| Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | At first I had trouble living on a budget as I was very excited to be in a new country. I wanted to go out to eat and go to different events and I soon learned that i needed to conserve my money. |
| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | I would tell them that it is important to have fun, but to also watch your spending. Try to achieve a healthy balance. |

While the instruction was entirely in Spanish, I lived in an apartment with American students where it was easy to fall back into speaking english. |

A Look Back
| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | I feel to go on this program it is important to have a solid background in Spanish. It is also important for them to understand that Andalusian Spanish is difficult to learn. It is also important to practice your spanish everyday, as you will be living with American students. |
