You learn so much from living with a family or in an apartment that has locals as roommates. that's where you learn and get to practice a lot of spanish. |

There are so many free music events in Barcelona year round, especially around the summer and fall. Montserrat is one of my favorite places on earth. |

pretty safe aside from pick pockets, the bastards. don't ever go out with anything valuable. Cabs are reasonable. |

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Hmmm not really anything too unexpected, I don't think. |

Didn't speak any spanish before and now after less than 1 year I can hold conversations entirely in spanish. |
