It was Magical! Past Review
By A student (Southern Utah University) - abroad from 06/07/2017 to 06/19/2017 with
SUU: Harry Potter in the UK
I feel that I gained insight into a different pacing of life, and also a deeper appreciation for the Harry Potter series and how JK Rowling's culture inspired her writing.

Yes
I loved going with other students and professors from SUU. I may not take the same class if I went again, but I would want to do a similar program set up. |
Finances

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Saving is worth it. You are only there once, so you don't want to have to worry too much about pimchimg pennies. It is easy to live cheap while abroad, just as easy as at home, but half the trip for me was trying things there that I couldn't at home. |

Reasons For Studying Abroad
To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you. |
The Academic or LinguistYou went abroad with specific academic goals in mind; the program credentials and rigor of your coursework abroad were very important to you. You had a great time abroad, but never lost sight of your studies and (if applicable) were diligent with your foreign language study. Good for you! |
Individual Course Reviews
Course Name/Rating: |
Topics in Literature: Harry Potter |
Course Department: | England |
Instructor: | Dr. Kyle Bishop |
Instruction Language: | English |
Comments: | The location was put to good use and instruction covered a combination of gaining skills abroad as well as course material. The assignments were enjoyable and intense, but my one regret is that lectures sort of petered out after thefirst week. I hoped for more on sight instruction comnected directly to the course material. |
Credit Transfer Issues: | Nope. It was through SUU. |
