What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was totally worthwhile. I had the time of my life. I learned about everyday life in Germany, I learned how to order food fluently. We saw a lot of the country and met several people that I would like to remain in contact with for a long time.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I had a really hard time getting to class on time. It was set up strange too because I was not a beginner in German, but I wasn't in the advanced level, so I struggled. However, I had a good time and learned a lot.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They were really passionate about us learning the language.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

It was close to a tram line, but that tram didn't run very late, so it was hard to get around at night.

* Food:

We got a card with some money on it.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I met a lot of people and we got to learn about the culture by exploring many cities all over the country.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I was scared walking home alone at night, but I wanted to be out late, so it was my own fault.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
