Tel Aviv University: Smart Cities (Online) - Interface Design, Big Data, and Urban-tech Utilization

Today, in the age of technological acceleration and global cities, there is a need for a new perspective that integrates the emerging ecosystems of systems and agents. Approaching integrative goals and planning processes – both socially and environmentally – is a collaborative effort. 

This program introduces ways to utilize data tools, information systems and technology management to “invent the future”, plan and develop further the interaction and interfaces among the human, the habitat and the artifact. Heritage preservation, urban-rural tension, affordable housing, traffic load and accessible transportation and the potential of big data for urban innovation, are challenges to explore and rethink.
