Students in the summer course will participate at the excavation of a Roman villa in Artena, a small hill town approximately 40 miles south-east of Rome, under the direction of Temple University Rome faculty member and archaeologist Jan Gadeyne and his colleague Cécile Brouillard, who works for the French Institute for Preventive Archaeology (INRAP).

Temple University Scholarships

Students studying at Temple University Japan or Rome Program for the fall, spring, or summer semester may apply for a scholarship to help defray the costs. The maximum award is $5000. Students may apply by completing the Scholarship application and essay, available within the online program application.

April 1 for the fall/academic year; October 1 for the spring

Guidelines/Requirements:
To be eligible for these awards, applicants must be full-time, matriculated undergraduates and have demonstrated financial need; have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 for a semester scholarship; and participate in the Temple University sponsored program.
