Personal Information

The term and year this program took place: Fall 2008

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The courses in the program were integrated with the city itself. Field trips and excursions were not only encouraged, but required.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They were not very hands-on. Aside from my professors, I had little to no interaction with any of the program's administrators.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

There was apartment style living, however there were rules that were unfair and not fully possible. The workers at the residences had bad attitudes towards American students

* Food:

Food was strictly on ones own, but the food in Italy is amazing.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

Language acquisition improvement?

I did not speak any Italian before I went abroad, but now I am able to speak enough to get around.
