Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Language acquisition improvement?

I was able to use my Italian but not as much as I hoped because mostly everyone at the school was American or spoke English. Also, when I tried to use my Italian for everyday interactions most people just spoke to me in English because I wasn't fluent in Italian.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • Meeting new people
  • Traveling
  • Learing Italian
* What could be improved?
  • More classes that would transfer easily
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I would tell that student to go for it. This has been the best experience of my life thus far and I would do it all over again if I could. I would also tell them to come here with an open mind and be willing to try new things, learn about new cultures and make tons of new friends! I think any student who loves to learn/try new things and meet new people would do great in a study abroad program.
