What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Before leaving, I was nervous about being on my own. I'd never been more than two hours away from home for longer than a week, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to depend on myself when it was necessary. I gained independence and confidence through traveling by myself, and I realized I can do things/enjoy things on my own!

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I'd done more studying in general about life abroad. I didn't realize the extent of cultural differences, and I didn't know how to escape the "American bubble".
