The Education Abroad Network (TEAN): Gold Coast - Bond University

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned so much about myself as well as Australia as I was abroad. I was able to learn about local culture while meeting tons of new people! It was a great time to really just live life and enjoy all that Australia could provide! Going abroad was so worthwhile and I'm glad that I did not pass up the opportunity to do so!

TEAN was always there to help out with anything I needed! They made everything so simple and easy, taking care of all the sending of forms and legalities between universities! The response time for questions was super quick and they always helped me out by rearranging things so they would work out!

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in the dorms and I actually really liked it! Applying for housing was super simple and I got my first choice! I felt safe at all times and the housing department were super accommodating and understanding!

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I felt very integrated, whether it was food or just through events on the weekends! There was always something going on and everyone was so friendly! It was super easy to integrate into the culture and learn about everything!

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Gold Coast is super safe! I never felt worried about traveling alone or getting around at night! Everyone is also so willing to help if you need a little clarification on directions!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Studying abroad with TEAN was honestly the best decision I could have made! They made the application process so easy and were always so understanding of the questions I had. The staff were always so nice and genuinely wanted the best for all of us, even when the semester was coming to a close. The staff as well as the super amazing experiences TEAN provided me with will always be a highlight of my time abroad! I cannot say anything bad about my experience with TEAN!

  • Staff were so sweet and really made the program feel like a home away from home!
  • Gave me the some of the best experiences I had during my time abroad, they planned great events for us!
* What could be improved?
  • Nothing, TEAN is great!
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? If there was one thing I wish I knew before going on this program, it would be to know that it really is not so hard. TEAN made everything so easy and painless, which allowed me to have so much more stress free fun!!
