The Education Abroad Network (TEAN): Gold Coast - Griffith University
Yes! I experienced a new way of life and met a lot of new people. The setting is beautiful and the beaches provide a great activity and way to meet Australians. The University is very welcoming of study abroad students and everyone was really friendly and helpful. I definitely plan on going back to Australia!

I received the most support while I was abroad from TEAN leaders who helped provide us with activities to experience Australian culture and and also provide us with an orientation in Sydney before the semester started which really helped make the adjustment to Australia less challenging. |

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I loved living so close to the beach in an apartment/hotel set up. I had great roommates and we loved that the apartments came fully furnished with dishes and everything else that we needed. |

There were great restaurants near where we lived in Broadbeach and also on the Griffith campus! |

How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
The optional trip to the Great Barrier Reef was amazing! Everything was organized when we arrived and we were able to participate in activities such as white water rafting as well as snorkeling and scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef! |

We were given tips on how to stay safe and TEAN made sure that they could help us with any health issues including finding doctors. |
