What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
From this experience I learn how to be a more confident person and to take more chances that were out of my comfort zone. I learned about different cultures and different people through all the traveling I did. I learned a lot about the education differences in Australia compared to the US. It was completely worthwhile.

Yes
I would choose this program again because they provide great housing in a great location. They always sent e-mails about local events going on which was helpful and I had a blast at their orientations in Cairns for the week. |

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Take advantage of grocery stores saving cards they can be really useful for weekly shopping. Restaurants always have deals on certain days of the week which can help when budgeting but still wanting to go out and eat. Find other people to travel with in your program, it can helps when splitting the cost with someone. Look into cheap flights and tickets there are many websites that can help you find them. Also, don't be afraid to stay in hostels they are a cheap way to have a place to stay in and always read the reviews! |

| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Before going into this program I wish I knew more about Griffith University and how to deal with all the orientations and getting around school. No one was really there for us in the program to help us with questions about classes etc. Also I wish I knew that on the last day of the program no one provides transportation to the Brisbane airport like they did for pick up. We're on our own to find a way there and a majority of the options are expensive which is an expense I wasn't aware of until a few weeks before. |
