What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I've learned so many skills that extend beyond the classroom. The biggest and most important characteristic I've gained while being abroad is independence. Without studying abroad I would not have had the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture, travel without any of my classmates, make new friends from all over the country and really depend completely on myself. It also increased my global awareness and widened my perspective on international relations which again cannot be achieved to this extent when remaining at a home university.
