What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Studying at the University of Newcastle in Australia was the best experience of my life. I learned so much about the culture and the environment. I did things that I never thought I would do in a million years. It was an amazing experience and the people working at The Education Abroad Network help you every step of the way. They provide the best opportunities and the staff is extremely helpful. I made so many new friends that I still talk to everyday. The beauty of Australia is absolutely breathtaking and I am definitely going back. I am so glad I made the decision to study abroad here. It was the best five months of my life!

The classes at the school are challenging, but you get to learn so much. The school provides so many resources for you to really get the most out of your educational experience.

The administration is absolutely wonderful. They help you every step of the way!

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The living arrangements were one of the best parts of the program. I lived with twenty Australians and we became life long friends.

* Food:

The food was absolutely amazing. I tried so many new things!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The social and cultural aspect was great. We got acquainted quickly and fit right in.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

If someone had a health issue, there was a free doctor on campus. It was easy to make an appointment and walk right in.

* Safety:

Make sure you know the number for the police if needed. It's different in Australia! I felt really safe while living in Australia. You were always around people and everyone is so friendly - so if you needed help you could ask someone.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

The cost of living in Australia is very different. Things are more expensive, but overall it was easy to live on a students budget.
