The Education Abroad Network (TEAN): Australia Internship Program
I grew as a person. Since I was handicapped most of the time, I learned to exceed my limits, physically and mentally. It was definitely worthwhile.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Since I was not actually taking any classes since it was an internship program, I cannot rate on the academic rigor of the program. However, my overall experience with the company was wonderful. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
|
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
great housing and only three blocks away from where I interned! Kitchen was a little small though and made it hard to cook anything however. |
* Food: |
I did cook my own food most of the time, however the kitchen was not the best for cooking so we did burn things on occasion. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
loved the culture of Australia! Could fit in perfectly with the people. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
Since I did go over with a broken ankle and was on crutches for the most of it, some of the TEAN members went completely out of their way to help me and take care of me and I thank them for that. It was hard though, without them due to the fact that I could not walk the entirety of my trip. |
* Safety: |
I never felt at risk for anything and I felt that my safety was wonderful, nothing went wrong. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

|
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | around 100$ |

Reasons For Studying Abroad
To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you. |
The Nearly Native or Trail BlazerCraving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.' |
