Yes. I learned so much from traveling and being abroad. I also made amazing friends that I still keep in touch with.
Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The overall academic experience was interesting. The grading system was a bit harder at my Australian university than my American university. There is a bigger focus on independent learning. Also, the course levels were different. For instance, a 300 level course in America would be equivalent to a 200 level course in Australia. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Everyone was easily accessible and I had no problems whatsoever. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
The housing that The Education Abroad Network provided was phenomenal. It was so nice and very convenient. It was a bus ride away from campus and right on top of the bus garage/train station. The grocery store was around the corner and a huge mall was right across the street. The staff at the apartment building were also helpful. They were available 24-7 to provide any assistance needed. |
* Food: |
I found every food option that I wanted in Sydney. I was very pleased. I don't have any dietary restrictions so I can't comment on the availability of certain foods. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I took advantage of traveling to other areas in Australia and that was a great experience. I recommend traveling to the Great Barrier Reef. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
I never felt unsafe at any time while studying abroad in Sydney. If you practice overall safety precautions that you would in any city, then you will be fine. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
