What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Living abroad taught me to live independently, budget my money, cook some delicious meals, and to no get wifed up it's not worth it!

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Academic's were fairly rigorous for engineering. Tests were tough but the grading scale is more lenient.

Food quality in Australia is way better, however it does cost more.

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

With a minimum wage of 17$ you can't expect living costs to be minimal.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Don't eat out three times a day every day, because after a month or two you'll be stuck cooking all the time.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • Location of housing and school was right on
  • TEAN took as to events and places. Ex: surfing lessons
  • Meeting life long friends.
* What could be improved?
  • That Australian wi-fi tho
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Control my spending at the start so I can travel more later.
