Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The grading system is definitely different than it is in the US. For one of my classes I was graded only on an in class test and a final paper. In the states, I'm more accustomed to different papers due throughout the semester. I actually quite enjoyed the lightened work load but it meant that my work that I turned in must be superb. I also enjoyed the way the professors taught. They are much more laid back and friendly - or not friendly depending on how the class behaves. They will begin lecturing whether the class is quiet or not. On time is on time. I really enjoyed attending class and loved the excursions we took.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The Education Abroad Network was wonderful with all of my concerns abroad. They were a great help in providing answers and services. I liked that they provided a group flight, which made traveling easier and more efficient. I also enjoyed the amount of services they provided for students while in the states and abroad. It is very important to me that they were able to meet my needs.

* Food:

The program introduced us to authentic Aussie food - the meat pie. For our farewell dinner we dined in an Asian restaurant which reflects the large Asian culture in Australia.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

I loved visiting the Opera house and Botanical gardens. I must have went at least twice a week. Abseiling in the Blue Mountains was an experience I will never forget! A fantastic experience. The walking tour during orientation opened the door

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

When I became ill studying abroad, I found it very easy to go to the doctors and get a prescription. I also always felt safe when going out at night.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes
