Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I enjoyed studying at Sydney Uni and I was glad to be able to find classes that I need to fulfill my requirements for my major back home. Although challenging at times to adapt to new teaching styles and course expectations, it has made me a more flexible student! |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The staff from my program in my home and host country were all incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and caring people who went above and beyond to make my study abroad experience a positive one. They were always easy to get a hold of and willing to help with anything! |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I lived in off-campus student apartments that provided housing for international and local students. Living close to campus and with people from a variety of countries greatly enriched my experience and supported my immersion into the culture. I was required to purchase my own linens and cookware upon arriving in Australia. |
* Food: |
I was responsible for providing my own meals. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I attended three excursions arranged by my study abroad program( East-coast trip, New Zealand spring-break, and a Melbourne weekend trip). Each trip was very well planned and lead by great staff members who were knowledgeable about the areas and helped provide unique and fun cultural, social, and adventure experiences. I had a great time on every trip and would highly recommend them all! My program also provided great programing within my host city including an orientation upon arrival and several cultural events throughout the semester. All of these activities were very helpful in becoming more familiar with our host cities in addition to getting a local's point of view on the best sites to see! |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
Having a preexisting health condition made me cautious to fulfill my desire to study abroad. However, thanks to the help of The Education Abroad Network's incredibly helpful and caring staff members I had help to make accommodations even before I had officially applied to the program! Also while abroad the staff continued to be very accommodating and helpful with whatever I needed. Their help with this matter is what set them apart from other study abroad programs I had considered. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
