The Education Abroad Network (TEAN): Traveling - Australian Environment, Wildlife and Conservation

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I have been abroad before, but never like this. Choosing TEAN and the wildlife, environment and conservation trip was one of the best choices I could have made. The experiences were incredible and everyone worked hard to make sure that we were learning and that we were having a great time. It was just the right amount of work and play. I learned so much in those five short weeks, it was an experience I will never forget.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • The out in the field experiences and learning opportunities.
  • Being able to spend time with people so incredibly knowledgable about their land and country (our teachers, aboriginal guides, etc)
  • TEAN encouraging us to participate in other activities besides the academic ones, and helping us get those set up.
* What could be improved?
  • I wish it wouldn't have ended!
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? TEAN supplied us with a lot of information about packing and what to bring, but i wish i would have maybe asked a student that had already been on this trip about what they thought was important to bring.

Reasons For Studying Abroad

To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you.
The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
