Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The GREEN Program has strong potential to improve further with the educational aspect of the program. The hands on experience is unmatched to other study abroad programs. The capstone project development needs more work. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Staff and Admin for the program were excellent! I could tell there was coordination between the program and their partner tour company, South Iceland Adventures. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
All of the living was in aesthetically pleasing environments. The only downside was WiFi access. |
* Food: |
The food was great, but it was not diverse. We got a taste of Icelandic culture, but nothing outside of our comfort zone. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Our tour guides made us feel right at home. It's not too difficult to adapt |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
Hard to assess. I never had any health related issues/concerns during my trip. |
* Safety: |
There is plenty of hiking on the trip, so know your limits. The tour guides always assess to see how capable the group is in terms of hiking. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | $20, all meals were covered by the program. |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Work closely with government officials who share renewable energy interests to help fund you. |

The NetworkerAn active student leader, it was important for you to network abroad as well.
