Stepping out of your comfort zone to meeting new people and explore a brand new country was one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. I went to Iceland the summer of 2019, and left having gained a bunch of very close new friends and experiences that I would've never found anywhere else. The Green Program does a phenomenal job of combining excursions, lectures, and activities in a fun and interesting way. Everything we learned about renewable energy in the classroom setting we were able to see in action by touring different hydro- and geothermal power plants. I felt like the different locations the guides took us gave us a great taste of the awe-inspiring country we were in. I've never camped before, and the 3 nights I camped in the Highlands were some of the most fun of my entire life. Would recommend to anyone, the entire trip was worth every penny and so much more!

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

Reasons For Studying Abroad

To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you.
The Nearly Native or Trail Blazer
Craving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.'
