I understand renewable energy power generation and another culture. I will never forget standing under a wind turbine on top of a mountain. Making the connection of protecting our limited resources with this technology redefined what I would pursue as a career for the rest of my life.

This was a fantastic program to learn more about the Renewable Energy Industry. So many American students want to pursue a career in this area yet, we never see it live and only know how what we read and see online. This was a great way to get hands on experience and really understand how this technology works. It gave me a solid understanding that lead to future professional opportunities. |

Everything was organized smoothly. Looking at the itinerary I did not know how we could get all of it done in only 12 days. Each day we fueled up and ate an awesome local meal then got going for the day. I have traveled abroad before and got lost trying to find things so it was great that they handled all of this for us. There was no stress other than making sure I got up to leave. The buses were usually comfortable enough to sleep in which was nice to get a nap between stops. Every meal was great too. I was worried that I wouldn't like the food even being from Florida, but they always served good food and sometimes you could even have a pizza if you were craving an american specialty. |

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
We always stayed in a nice place. Hotel Tilawa was like home though. It was perfect. I still miss it now from time to time. They even had WIFI so I could Skype with my mom! I have traveled abroad before and had to leave hotels due to their condition or location. I always felt safe, clean, and had a comfortable nights sleep. |

Always a great meal! The coffee at Tilawa was great and unlimited. I am a foodie so this is an important component when abroad. |

* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I had so much fun at Eqquis. It was so neat how it was it the jungle and you could hear the howler monkeys. Also, happy hour at Tamarindo was relaxing. Tamarindo overall was a fun experience. To surf and then go out and hear some reggae music at night. The hot springs and hikes were one of my most cherished memories. It is neat to go hiking through the jungle and help your new friends get through it. You make lasting relationships and see some great views. |

Not only did I make incredible lifetime friends with similar interests, I also gained a unique educational experience that sets me apart when competing for jobs. |
