About

The course expands students' understanding of the healthcare system with a two-week study of the Italian healthcare system in the areas surrounding Rome, Italy. Students visit hospitals, clinics, public health services and services for people with disabilities as part of the learning experience. Comparisons are made to the United States to find similarities and differences in the provision of care and the resulting level of health enjoyed by residents of these two countries.
