Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Very different experience being in a huge classroom, with some lectures halls having 250 kids. Most lectures are by no means mandatory. There is very little week-by-week work, and most classes only have 2 tests and a paper, or a combination of 3 major assessments. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The International Student department was very helpful in the beginning. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I lived off campus. Unless traveling with a large group, I'd recommend living on campus. |
* Food: |
Didn't eat on campus. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
You will most likely mainly interact with other Americans, but the locals are very friendly |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
never had an experience with it, but its much cheaper than the states. |
* Safety: |
never felt in danger at all, anywhere in Sydney. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
Sydney is a very expensive city, and you will want to travel a lot. |
