What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot about Ghanaian culture and about music, both drumming and dance. There were a lot of great people in the village and who went on the program, and it was very worthwhile.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? There are some things that the school in the village needs (books, etc.) and I wish I'd known ahead of time because I could have brought stuff with me, but it's complicated to ship stuff over there.
