Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
|
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Kristen and Leah were great administrators of the program - made the entire trip as smooth as possible. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Overall, I was comfortable, but the living quarters need to be repaired and updated. |
* Food: |
Overall I was satisfied with the food - the fresh fruit was great - but the breakfasts became monotonous. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
The activities such as visiting the market, and the opportunity to go to a funeral, the naming of a baby, going to church, the wonderful children, and the friendly staff and local people helped make feel I know the Ghanian people so much better than I would have just visiting sites in the country as a regular tourist. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
Although I did get sick on the second day, I had my antibiotics as instructed and did not need to use any local medical facilities. |
* Safety: |
|
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
No
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

A Look Back

|
* What could be improved? |
|
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | That the school needs supplies. If each person (who wanted to) brought just a few items in their luggage, it would not have burdened anyone and helped the school children. |
Reasons For Studying Abroad
To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you. |
The Avid AdventurerThe wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal. |
