What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was definitely worthwhile. Not only did I gain Spanish skills, but I also gained people skills and became more comfortable meeting new people and exploring new places. I also learned so much about history, art, culture, and people in general.

This program helped me to improve my Spanish skills beyond what I could have hoped. We also had so many opportunities to travel, and I will never forget all of the amazing people I met.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Immerse yourself completely! Don't worry about making mistakes or sounding stupid, just go for it. Speak as much as you can, listen and read to whatever you can in that language.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I had known that people are oftentimes excited to interact with you, even if you are a foreigner. It's best to just go for it and interact with as many new people as you can.
