Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Very challenging program but also a lot of fun. The academic system is so different from the US, it took some getting used to but that's what it's all about. Awesome on-site staff and my Spanish improved greatly! |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The program staff were amazing. Agueda was always available if you needed anything. In the beginning there were some issues with class registration and she was right there helping us to figure it all out. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I loved my home stay family! At first it was a bit awkward living in someone elses house but she was so nice and welcoming. I had my own room (but small, which was fine) and could come and go as I wanted. Really provided a well rounded experience. |
* Food: |
Food was wonderful! |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
The field trips were great and I loved the bik tour of Barcelona - a great way to see the city. The Barcelona soccer game was really fun! |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
We all had good health insurance and there is an english speaking doctor who is really good. Agueda would always offer to go to the appointments with us, if we wanted, whcih was nice. Pick pocketing is a big problem in Spain. We were warned a lot about it which was good because a lot of the things they told us to look out for, I wouldn't have thought of. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
