Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I learned more from my overall time abroad than I did specific things from my classes. The classes were still a great learning experience because that's the reality in Chile. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The local administration was great! The program director was incredibly helpful! |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
My host family was great and a very important part of my overall abroad experience. |
* Food: |
My food at home was good, but Chilean food in general isn't anything amazing. In addition, it was hard to adjust to Chilean dining habits. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Program field trips were fun and interesting. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
Chile is a very safe country overall. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
No
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Language
Language acquisition improvement? |
Chileans speak a very different kind of Spanish and it takes a while to learn their unique vocabulary and pronunciation. |
