I absolutely loved every aspect of my abroad experience. I learned a good deal of Italian and my Ren Art class was amazing. I didn't like my psychology class (Human Development in Culture) because we learned more about educational methods than anything else. It was very boring. |

Strengths: Personnel was wonderful. The staff had unique personalities and a wonderful dynamic amongst themselves and the students. The professors were wonderful and gave us a work load that allowed us to have fun abroad, but also learn the material. Umbra provided so many opportunities for us to immerse ourselves within Perugia, and I felt like I was a part of the community. Weaknesses: none |

Living arrangement was wonderful. They did a great job matching compatible personalities. My roommates and I had a great relationship! |

I made my own food/ ate a million pounds of pizza. |

How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
My Florence field trip with my Ren Art class was amazing. I was moved so much by the pieces we saw, and it was very well planned. Sitting on the steps in the city center was my favorite aspect of life in Perugia. |

I never felt unsafe at any point. We were addressed by an officer on our first night and were advised on what to do and not do. I felt very comfortable in my apartment and when on my walk to school. |

A Look Back
| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Do it. Put yourself out there and soak up every ounce of life you can. You'll grow as a person and learn things about yourself that you couldn't learn any other way. Sounds corny, and I'm not sure I can put into words what I learned about myself, but I am way more confident in myself and love life! |
