  • Make sure students know before coming that they do need to know some Spanish, even if their classes are in English. It will help with the host families.
  • Maybe provide a few bigger trips on the weekends to somewhere outside of the Madrid area but still in Spain. So a trip to southern Spain or Barcelona or San Sebastian.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? It goes by so quickly so try to live in the moment and absorb everything you can while you're there because you'll miss it when you're back home.

Reasons For Studying Abroad

To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you.
The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
