Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I felt that the academics were less intensive than my home university, but the social/cultural experience was more taxing, so I felt that overall my experience was more challenging abroad.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I dont have any complaints. I felt that my host institution was well organized and integrated me well into life in barcelona and a different academic situation.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

my host family was great. I especially appreciated my host mom. she cooked great meals for me and interacted with me everyday. I also lived close to the metro system so I was able to travel downtown easily.

* Food:

I was happy eating at cafes and at home

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

night life was fun, many bars and clubs to meet people and dance. I also enjoyed day time site seeing such as parks and museums.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

when I was sick, I was immediately tended to by my host mom and program

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $100
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I kept a spending spreadsheet on excel to keep track of how much I spent a week.
