What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
absolutely. I learned so much, gained a better understanding of myself, and got more confident speaking Spanish even if I make mistakes!

work load was fair, teachers were great, well prepared and knowledgeable.

Strength: the professors were absolutely great! The weakness: only 7 students in the university

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

the food was great. My host mom was great cook, gave a good amount of food and I don't have allergies, so that wasn't a problem.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

La feria was amazing! Also, just going to church in SPain every weekend was great!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

this city was very safe. Still need to be careful... you are foreign!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? about 20 euros a week. This included any nights out and any snacks I wanted.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I had to pay for internet, about 60 euro a month. Also, I would just suggest not spending all your money at the bar. It can get expensive!

Language acquisition improvement?

Take advantage of living with a local person. I used my skills SO much with my host mom. She was great!

  • I loved the city. The people were so real and friendly.

  • The size of the university was small. Also, maybe we could have opportunity for intercambios.
