Best Experience of my Life Past Review
By A student (Corporate Finance and Accounting, Bentley University) - abroad from 09/10/2012 to 12/20/2012 with
University College Dublin: Dublin - Direct Enrollment & Exchange
I believe that I learned a lot about myself and discovered things that I would have not normally discovered. I also traveled to 9 different countries and was able to learn about their cultures
Personal Information
How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? | 0-2 weeks |
Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The learning style is extremely different in all of Europe as compared to Bentley, but that is not something to deter you from studying abroad. It is the experience of a lifetime. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
We has a few mishaps that occurred during out time in Ireland and the administration treated us like children at times. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
We had the best location possible living in the direct heart of Dublin. This was perfect for exploring the city, convenient to all of the nightlife, and allowed us to be fully acclimated to the culture. |
* Food: |
Living off campus with a full kitchen we would cook all our own food and had access to amazing restaurants around the city. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
There is never a dull moment in the city. There will always be something to do and a new site to see |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
In the city I felt extremely safe; could walk anywhere alone or go to any pub/club alone. The people are extremely nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, our apartment was broken into, however this did not change my opinion of the city. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
Your budget all depends on how much you go out at night, the types of food you eat, and how much you travel. If you budget well, you do not have to spend so much money. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | 80 |
Language

Direct Enrollment/Exchange
* Did you study abroad through an exchange program or did you directly enroll in the foreign university? | Exchange |
