Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
not a lot of work each day but very challenging. I took 301-302 credits, but I had skipped 203, which had been my plan and I was looking forward to a challenging experience. Learning another language in another country gives a lot more motivation and challenge. exactly what I wanted. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
I was in the intensive language component at the univeristy of belgrano. I was very pleased with my experience but I hear that the classes at the global campus were a joke. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
first I lived with a family. They were amazing, but the house was a little outside of the city which made transportation more difficult and I dont think I experienced city life the same there. However I was transfered to Eldita's residencia which had a host mom with 15 american students. It was a completely different experience, there I used no spanish but enjoyed the city life and it was much easier to make plans and be part of the group of study abraod students. |
* Food: |
the first family hated cooking and it was just alright, at elditas the food was amazing but argentine food is not my favorite |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
IGUAZU! and going out dancing with my argentine friends |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
i had a kidney infection and I had to go to the ER by myself, they were concerned but wanted me to figure it out myself. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
