What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was worth every penny. I learned so much about myself and how to better apply my academic knowledge to the real world.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

My classes were interesting but not the most challenging. Most of the professors were very engaging and helpful.

The CIDE office in Deusto is awesome and made the whole process very simple

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived with a host family and I loved it!

* Food:

You have to flexible and open to new things especially when you live in someone else's home

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I never really got sick but when I had a cold my host family took great care of me

* Safety:

I always felt very safe in Bilbao. Just be smart and try to not walk alone late at night.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 50 a week not including when I took trips

I had to speak spanish with my host family and had two classes taught in spanish.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Make an effort to make local friends. Hanging out with them is the best way to practice the language and learn the culture
