Review Your Program

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Great tutors very helpful

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The location was great on Norfolk Terrace however every room in the flat either had the pluming burst or an electrical fault.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $200
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Try not to use cash, getting money out of an ATM cost me a fortune due to exchange rates/ withdrawal fees/ international banking fees. Or if you do get money out get a decent amount out at a time to last you.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • the small classes
  • great location
  • fantastic people
* What could be improved?
  • Stop Uni accounts expiring before students have received their results, making it impossible to contact their lectures about results.
  • Faster results email them do not snail mail them, My course finished in December and I was not sent my results until May! and therefore missed my graduation at home.
  • A proper academic record should be sent, something that looks a little more official than a print out on a folded up A4 sheet of paper that looks like I made it up.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? To notify my home bank before leaving! The first time I used my bank card oversea they thought someone scamming money and cancelled the card! The only way to verify my identity was to send a text from the registered SIM number. I had left my SIM card at home to prevent myself losing it. That was really though and I wish I'd known to contact my bank before travelling.
