Fine Past Review
By A student (Wellesley College) - abroad from 09/07/2018 to 12/22/2018 with
University of Edinburgh: Edinburgh - Direct Enrollment & Exchange
I learned a lot about myself in terms of my own mental health and interests. I'd say it was worthwhile because I was able to travel a lot, and because I loved Edinburgh. The program was just fine, but the city is amazing and I feel lucky to have been able to live there.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Coursework was what I expected for a University like the University of Edinburgh. The courses were great. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
I'm not sure what this question is asking. The "administration of my program" was just me directly enrolling. If this is a question regarding the administration of the University of Edinburgh, it was fine as far as I know. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Housing was very confusing in that there wasn't much guidance from the program- i had to look other places to find information about the dorms. |
* Food: |
They don't serve food at the University, other than if you pay to be in a special dorm for it. This question isn't really relevant to this program. If this is about the food in Edinburgh, it was great! What one would expect from a capital city. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I had a great feeling for the city but in terms of "local culture" I felt that students were very different from locals and there was a bit of a divide between student spaces and nonstudent spaces. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
I did not have an experience with healthcare. |
* Safety: |
|
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
No
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

Language
* Did your program have a foreign language component? | No |
Direct Enrollment/Exchange
* Did you study abroad through an exchange program or did you directly enroll in the foreign university? | Direct Enrollment |
