What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
My abroad experience has impacted my cultural awareness tremendously. I have come to realize that, no matter where in the world you are, people all share the same fears and hopes. It is wonderful to learn that no matter how different people are, we all share some of the most basic things about ourselves.

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | I would advise people who are one a budget, like I was, to limit going out to restaurants. I found that in the first few weeks I spent a lot of unnecessary money on food, which could have been avoided if I had cooked in my flat. |
