Life changing Past Review
By A student (Texas Lutheran University) - abroad from 01/04/2017 to 04/30/2017 with
University of Evansville: Grantham - Study abroad at Harlaxton College
What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
My semester at Harlaxton is something I will treasure forever. Time went by so quickly; fleeting, like a shooting star, but also profound and beautiful. I gained a stronger sense of identity and independence. Being uplifted out of the familiarity of home and put into a foreign culture where I knew absolutely no one was an edifying experience. When everything from my life in Texas was no longer there, I was left with a genuine opportunity for growth. Traveling the world, encountering different cultures, and living in a Victorian Manor wasn’t even the best part about studying in England. The lessons I learned and the memories I made while here are things I will take back to Texas. The scent of daffodils on the breeze, the early morning fog, the posh accents, and the wonderful friends I made are things I will never forget. I am so thankful to God for this life changing opportunity.
