My study abroad experience was very worthwhile. Was the best thing I have done in college and I intend to go back for graduate school.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
There is a lot more put on you as a student to learn the material for the final exam. There is not really homework during the year. All most of my classes led up to was a final exam at the end of the year. I very much enjoyed this style rather than the very intensive American style with lots of homework. I found I actually learned more when it was put on me to learn it rather than being forced to do a lot of homework assignments. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
|
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
It was set up like a flat. shared 3 toilets, 3 showers, and a kitchen with 11 other people. There was enough space in the kitchen to hold everybody's food. |
* Food: |
Good places to go out to eat are Mama stones, |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I won't mention anything specific but Exeter has a great social life and very good night life. There was always something to do there. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
I know that the city is very safe. As far as student health issues I would not know because I never got sick. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | I cannot think of any unanticipated expenses. I spent about 150 pounds a week which was plenty for food and a lot of fun. |
