Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Definitely an adjustment from American universities. Here there is a lot more independent work and less homework. You are expected to keep up with the reading on your own, even though there is no test or assessment of any kind on it. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
A Kenyon professor travels with you and helps you assimilate to British life--very helpful! |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
There are very thin walls in UK dorms which makes for some sleepless nights when your flat mates are first years! |
* Food: |
Expensive! There is a lot more gluten free food availabe in England and there are quite a few restaurants in the area that accomodate gluten allergies. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Wonderful explorations of Tintagel and Topsham...bring good hiking boots! |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
|
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
