Spending a semester abroad with UGA Cortona opened my eyes to the wonders of international living. Living atop a hill overlooking a breathtaking view itself made the semester all the more magical.

Relatively hefty work load for the courses that kept us students busy. Not uncommon to see students studio spaces working on assignments.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Living in the studio spaces. The wonderful Angels washed sheets and cleaned the floors of our rooms for us.

I have a life-threatening allergy to peanuts and tree nuts. There was some difficulty, but I always had support from the UGA Cortona admins As a person who avoids hard ice cream here in the States, I tragically had to pass on in (devastating,

I did develop a sore throat. After informing Kris, she made arrangements and personally brought me to see a doctor in town.

  • Lessen class workload
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I underestimated how deeply I missed my siblings. About one month into the program, I felt. Fortunately, individual therapy sessions were provided, free of charge. My sessions gave me the space I needed to acknowledge & reflect upon my feelings, allowing me to better enjoy my time!

The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
