What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was definitely worthwhile! I met so many new friends, explored 8 different countries while abroad and become immersed in a new culture/city. I also learned about lot about myself during my time abroad.

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 2 weeks - 1 month

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Resources are difficult to find at first/slightly confusing. Education system in the UK is quite different from the US

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

There if needed, orientation at the beginning could have been a bit more informative

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Great location, facilities were old but nice.

* Food:

Nothing too different from the US, lots of pub food though

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

It is somewhat easy to integrate into the culture here, but within the university can be more difficult if you don't take classes that regular, full time students take

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Program advisers made it clear that students should register with an NHS physician in case of emergency

* Safety:

City is relatively safe, not major issues.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

The UK is a bit expensive on a student's budget

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? roughly 100-150 pounds
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Try not to eat out all the time, it might be fun at first but it's a huge expense. you can still have fun with friends making dinner together!
