About

The course expanded students' understanding of the healthcare system with a two-week study of the Italian healthcare system in the areas surrounding Rome, Italy. Students visited hospitals, clinics, public health services and services for people with disabilities as part of the learning experience. Comparisons were made to the United States to find similarities and differences in the provision of care and the resulting level of health enjoyed by residents of these two countries.
