Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
My overall experience was great. Of course it was a bit differnt, but that is why we study abroad. Teaching methods, time tables, styles of writing and school in general is a bit different that ISU. I loved it, I thought the methods of teaching were interesting and the student to teacher ratio was incredible. The library at Leicester is just amazing. The only complaint that I did have about Leicester is the first week. The study abroad students were given little information about their classes, and many were quite confsued and concerned about classes transferring to their home universities. I however, was pretty lucky, but was still ill informed about where I needed to be to register for classes. Other than that, Leicester is a fantastic university and I would love to go back there again. |

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
The house I lived in was completely beautiful. |

Food was okay. It was a much different style that the traditional American cafeteria, but it was still okay. |

How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I joined a few clubs while at Leicester. There was a Study Abraod Club that I joined that hosted many social events that were great and a fun way to meet people from all over the world. |

I experienced no health difficulted and no injuries other than the usual tripping and falling. |

| Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | It depends. I would usually give myself around 50 pounds a week unless I went clothes shopping. That is probably more than enough for the average person. |
| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Manage money well. There are many small things that you need everyday that you dont think about until you dont have them. Remember to keep money safe and manage it well, it goes by fast. |
