Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

There are an incredible amount of resources available from the library to help after class. The amount of work due during the course of the semester is negligible compared to Bentley as all the grades come from papers and tests due at the end of the year.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Dorms are usually singles within an 8 person apartment, usually mixed gender. Depending on where you end up your dorms could be small and cramped or pretty spacious.

* Food:

It's england ...I mean come on its England. I decided to go self-catered and the food situation didn't end up being too bad, just depends on how much you like to cook.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

DEfinitely a key part to my decision was the fact that you could immerse yourself within british students with no language barrier at all. I reccomend anyone trying to see what another culture is truly like to consider here . I forgot I was an American exchange student at times

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I fractured my thumb while abroad and I was taken care of by the local hospital on the day I went in without any appointment and didn't even need to show them proof of identity or anything. Nice system to have.

* Safety:

Never saw a problem, such a big student city that they have security everywhere if there was a problem.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Exchange rate is terrible.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 100
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Don't go to the pubs every day.
